Julia Warren is a PhD student in Dr. Ted Schuur’s Lab. She is interested in understanding how a warming Arctic is impacting the global carbon cycle. Specifically, she will be looking at methane emissions from permafrost thaw and associated radiocarbon dating of green house gases. She hopes to gain a deeper understanding in the science and skills needed to inform policy taking into account pertinent cultural, social, political, and environmental realities.
